Sizing & dieline.
We cut Weed Subscription Box to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Weed Subscription Box per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Weed Subscription Box.
Yes, and most subscription brands in this category do exactly that, with an unmarked outer and full print on the inside. The box arrives looking like any other parcel, and the brand appears only when the subscriber opens the lid.
We print the interior in full colour and leave the exterior kraft or plain white. The shipping label and any adult signature label go on the outside with nothing else to say what's inside.
We die-cut a single insert with a cavity for each item, sized from the actual pieces going into the box. Glass jars sit in deep pockets, pouches lie flat in shallow wells, and cards slot into a recess on the top layer.
If the mix changes month to month, we can design an insert that covers the common layouts, or cut a new one for a month with an odd-shaped item. Send samples of each piece and we'll work out which makes more sense.
We can fit the shipper with an odour-barrier liner, which cuts down on smell leaving the box on the way to the doorstep. The main barrier still comes from the child-resistant jars and pouches inside, and the liner adds a second layer.
For discretion the liner matters as much as an unmarked outer does. A courier or neighbour shouldn't be able to tell what's in the parcel by smell or by print.
E-flute is thinner and prints crisply, so it suits a mailer carrying pouches, cards and light jars. B-flute is thicker and cushions better, and we'd pick it when the box carries several glass jars or travels by parcel carrier across the country.
A double-wall build is available for the heaviest boxes. The self-locking construction folds up without tape, a tear strip gives a clean first opening, and a water-resistant coating helps with porch drops in bad weather.
The whole interior, including the underside of the lid, prints in full colour, and editorial cards can go in each month. Brands use the cards for producer stories and terpene notes, and change a monthly theme on the interior without touching the box structure.
Because the die stays the same, a themed month only needs new artwork on the existing dieline. Matte or gloss lamination protects the interior print from scuffing as items are packed in.
Common sizes are 9 × 6 × 3 in and 10 × 8 × 4 in, measured on the inside as length, width and depth. The smaller box takes a jar, a pouch and a card, and the larger one fits a mixed month with accessories.
Size the box around your bulkiest month, not your average one, so a larger jar or an extra item doesn't force a second box size. The insert can change while the outer stays fixed.
Subscription mailers start at a run of 500 boxes. The range goes up to 100,000, which covers a programme shipping to thousands of subscribers a month.
If the interior theme changes monthly, each theme is its own print run, so plan the quantity for each month against the 500-box floor.
A sample box takes 5 to 7 business days, and the production run lands 7 to 10 business days after approval. Rush production shortens that to 5 to 7 business days for a month that's running late.
Pack a full month's contents into the sample and ship it to yourself to see how the insert holds up. The sample fee isn't lost, since it's credited to the main run, and the design and dieline work is free.
