Sizing & dieline.
We cut Marijuana Packaging to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price Marijuana Packaging per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Marijuana Packaging.
Glass jars are the premium choice because they protect the bud's shape and aroma, while mylar bags are the everyday standard because they combine barrier, opacity and low cost. Both come with child-resistant closures.
Many brands use both, with jars for top-shelf strains and bags for the core menu. If the flower is sold on its nose and appearance, we'd put it in glass.
Yes, we can include two-way humidity packs rated for the 58 to 62 percent relative humidity band. A two-way pack adds moisture when the air inside is dry and absorbs it when it's damp.
We size the pack to the fill, so an eighth jar and a larger bag get different packs. If you already buy humidity packs from another supplier, we can design the jar or bag with room for them.
Yes, exit bags print in full colour, and because customers reuse them the bag keeps carrying your name well after the sale. Where a state requires a child-resistant exit bag, we build the closure in and design around it.
Some dispensaries go loud with the logo and others keep the outside discreet for customers who prefer it. We can print either way on the same bag structure.
Yes, we leave a variable strain zone on the jar label or bag so the strain, weight and batch can be added after printing. The printed base carries the brand, and the zone takes a thermal print or a small label each time the menu moves.
Brands borrowing from wine labels often add terpene wheels or tasting notes to the base design, which works because those graphics describe a style rather than a single batch.
They don't have to, but a carton protects the glass in transit and gives the brand far more print area than the jar label. A fitted insert holds the jar upright and stops the lid scuffing against its neighbours in the case.
Premium flower brands use the carton as the brand layer and keep the jar itself clean and compliant. The carton board can be recyclable kraft or odour-neutral SBS with matte or soft-touch lamination.
The anchor size is the eighth, 3.5 g, and most dispensary jars and bags are built around it. Larger fills get larger bags, and we size from both fill weight and bud volume, since airy flower takes more room than dense flower at the same weight.
Tell us your fill weights and whether you put a humidity pack in each unit, and we'll suggest jar capacities and bag dimensions to match.
The smallest run we'll set up is 500 units per item. That applies to jars, mylar bags, exit bags and cartons alike, and the top of the range is 100,000.
A dispensary can start with a 500-piece run of exit bags and a matching run of branded eighth bags, then add jars once the top-shelf line is settled.
Allow 7 to 10 business days for production once the proof is approved, or 5 to 7 business days if you book a rush. A pre-production sample takes 5 to 7 business days and lets you check jar fit and bag closure before committing.
Pay for the sample and that amount is knocked off the production order. Dieline and artwork help cost nothing on any flower format.
