Overview

Sim Card Packaging

A tiny chip, a printed carrier and a number that has to stay readable and secure.

SIM carriers hold a punch-out card, carry activation data, and often need scratch-off concealment for the PIN. All on a card-sized footprint.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Sim Card Packaging is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.

What It Costs

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Sim Card Packaging.

Because it solves a stocking problem that used to be genuinely awkward for networks.

Phones take three SIM sizes — standard, micro and nano. Before the 3-in-1 carrier, a network had to stock all three separately and make sure the right one reached the right customer, which meant either asking people which phone they had or shipping the wrong SIM regularly.

The 3-in-1 carrier is a single credit-card-sized piece with nested die cuts. The customer pushes out whichever size their phone takes. One SKU now covers every handset.

The engineering detail is the tension of those nested cuts. They have to be firm enough that the SIM does not work loose during shipping and handling, but light enough that someone can push it out with a thumb without cracking the chip. Too tight and customers bend and damage the SIM getting it out; too loose and you get loose SIMs rattling around inside packs.

It is worth sampling before a full run — this is precision die work and the right tension is easier to confirm physically than to specify on paper.
