USB Cable Boxes
A coil, a connector type and a length, three facts that have to fit on a very small panel.
Cable packaging is scanned for connector type and length above everything else. The coil has to stay tidy or the pack looks used.

Every detail. Intentional.
Connector type reads first
Then length, then brand.
Coils must stay tidy
Loose coils look used.

Sizing & dieline.
We cut USB Cable Boxes to a dieline built around your product instead of pulling a stock size off the shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.
Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points. Measure the product, not the box you happen to use today.
Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.
We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product and we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
We price USB Cable Boxes per specification rather than from a fixed list, because the same build in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about USB Cable Boxes.
A coil insert, a card the cable wraps around, holds it in a loop that stays put. Left loose, the coil unspools inside the carton and the pack opens as a tangle, which reads as used stock. The insert is cut from the same boxboard as the carton, so it adds very little cost.
A wrap card or a tie does the same job on lower-spec packs.
Connector types at both ends, then length, then wattage and data speed. Shoppers scan for those before they look at a brand, so the panel is laid out spec-first and the logo takes what is left. We do not build brand-led front panels for cables because the specification is what sells the product.
Across a range we keep the layout fixed so a short and a long version differ only in the length figure.
Yes, with a reinforced patch at the peg hole because this product sells from a hook. Extra material around the hole stops it tearing out during handling on a busy peg. The footprint is kept compact so more units fit per hook, and the barcode is placed to scan without unhooking the pack.
Yes, through a window panel, where braid or colour is a selling point. Clear window film shows a braided cable against a moulded one without adding text. Full CMYK on folding boxboard is the standard print, matte lamination goes on premium braided lines, and kraft natural suits the recycled-fibre positioning most cable buyers now assume.
Common cartons are 4 by 4 by 1 inch and 5 by 4 by 1.25 inches. The coil diameter sets the face and the connector housing sets the depth, with the larger size covering longer cables and chunkier plugs. A range of lengths usually shares one carton size so the peg display looks uniform.
The order floor is 500 units for each size and artwork. Length variants in one range often share a dieline, so only the print changes between them. Tiers above 1,000 reduce the price and the run can go to 100,000.
Standard turnaround is 7 to 10 business days after the proof is approved. Rush service is 5 to 7 business days. Samples arrive in 5 to 7 business days and are useful for checking the coil insert holds your cable gauge and that the peg hole sits square.
Sample fees are credited to the production run, and dieline work is at no charge.
Yes, we build a shipper-rated version of the same footprint in E-flute corrugated. The retail carton on folding boxboard is fine going out by the case. Where a single pack has to travel alone through a parcel network it needs the extra impact resistance. Both boards go in ordinary paper recycling, and recycled fibre is the default for this product because buyers now expect it.
