It is built from rigid board so it survives being carried home, washed and kept. A standard popcorn tub is single-use clay-coated stock that goes soft once the butter hits it. A keepsake bucket uses a non-collapsing wall with a reinforced rim and base, the two places a carried bucket gives out first.

The lining is specified for refilling rather than a single serving, and the print is held to a standard that survives close inspection on a shelf.

Yes, licensed character artwork has to be cleared with the rights holder before we put it on press. We print original venue designs freely, but any IP design needs the licensee's approval chain completed and the approved files supplied to us. We will not run unlicensed character artwork.

Build that approval time into the schedule, because the print run cannot start until the sign-off lands.

Rigid board is the defining choice, with heavy clay-coated board as a lower-cost middle tier. Rigid construction does not collapse and holds its shape through washing and reuse. The heavy clay-coated route costs less and still stands up better than ordinary popcorn stock, though it will not take the same abuse over months.

Both are lined with a food-safe interior that tolerates repeat fills of buttered popcorn.

Full CMYK photographic wrap print is the usual base, with foil detail, matte or gloss lamination and spot UV on top. Gloss lamination gives saturation under foyer lighting, while matte kills glare in photographs, which matters when people post the bucket online. Foil accents lift a collectible above a printed tub.

Because these designs are dated and rarely repeat, short runs go on digital press rather than paying for plates.

The common cinema large is about 7 inches tall with a 6 inch top diameter, which works out at 85oz. We measure a bucket by height and top diameter because the wall tapers to the base. Shaped and contoured formats change those figures, so send the silhouette you have in mind and we'll dimension it from there.

A lidded option adds a little to the overall height.

The minimum run is 500 buckets. Pricing tiers open up above 1,000, but for a dated tie-in design we would rather you ordered close to what the event will move. Scarcity is part of a collectible, and a pallet of leftover buckets after the film leaves the screen is a cost nobody wants.

Standard production runs 7 to 10 business days from artwork approval, with a rush service at 5 to 7 business days. A pre-production sample takes 5 to 7 business days and lets you check the rigidity, lining and print before the full order is committed. We credit the sample fee back against the production run.

Licensed artwork approval sits outside those figures, so clear it early.

With lamination over the print, yes, the artwork holds up to hand washing and months on a shelf. The laminate seals the ink layer so grease from the first fill and water from later rinses cannot lift it. Unlaminated print on a bucket that gets reused will scuff at the rim within weeks.

We would specify matte or gloss lamination on every keepsake bucket for that reason alone.
