Coffee Packaging Bags
A valve, a barrier and a reseal — three components the coffee trade settled on long ago.
Roasted beans exhale carbon dioxide for days, so the pack has to vent that without admitting oxygen. Everything else about the format serves aroma retention.

Every detail. Intentional.
Degassing without oxygen
The one-way valve does both.
Barrier holds volatiles
Which is what freshness actually means.
Tin-tie or zipper
Roastery register, or retail reseal.
Sized by fill weight
250g, 500g and 1kg.
Windows show the roast
Perforated where beans need airflow.
Kraft or foil laminate
Positioning against maximum barrier.
Built like architecture.
Each Coffee Packaging Bags is an engineered object — measured, dieline-cut, and hand-wrapped to spec. Below: the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
Every Coffee Packaging Bags is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length, plus the gusset that lets it stand — tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk — 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length, then the bottom gusset depth that sets the footprint. Three figures, and the gusset is the one most often left off.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
Coffee Packaging Bags is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Coffee Packaging Bags.
It comes down to how and where you sell.
Side gusset — the traditional coffee bag. Holds the most volume for the narrowest shelf footprint, takes a valve and tin tie naturally, and vacuum-packs into a rigid brick. It will not stand reliably, so plan to merchandise it lying down or in a tray.
Flat bottom (box pouch) — five printable panels and a genuine square base, so packs block flush on a shelf and keep their shape as they empty. The best shelf presence and the most expensive.
Stand-up pouch — stands unaided, good value, and fine for retail weights up to about a kilo.
A rough rule: if you sell primarily online, a side gusset or stand-up saves money nobody sees. If you compete on a retail shelf beside other roasters, the flat bottom usually earns its cost.
Sizing follows roast weight, but two variables change the volume for the same weight.
Whole bean versus ground. Beans pack with air between them; ground coffee is denser. The same weight needs a noticeably larger bag as whole bean.
Roast level. Lighter roasts are denser than dark ones — darker beans lose more moisture and expand, so they take more volume per gram.
Common sizes: 4 oz for samples, 8 oz, 12 oz (the most common US retail size), 1 lb, and 2 lb or 5 lb for food service.
Tell us the weight, whether it is bean or ground, and your roast level, and we will size the bag and return a dieline free with the quote.
