Custom Cone Sleeves.

The sleeve is a die-cut tapered band, and it holds by friction against the cone wall rather than by glue or a tab. The taper has to match the cone it wraps, so we cut to your cone's angle and circumference. A sugar cone, a waffle cone and a paper chip cone all have different profiles, and one sleeve does not fit them all.

It catches the drips before they reach the hand and gives a grip on a cone that gets slippery in hot weather. Insulation is a side benefit against a cold or greasy item. The sleeve will not slow the melt, and we do not sell it as doing so.

The wrap depth is a balance: deep enough to catch a run of melt, shallow enough that the cone is still on show.

Yes, we make the same format for chip and fried food cones, with the barrier switched from moisture to grease. An ice cream sleeve uses moisture-resistant board so it does not go soft under melt. A chip cone sleeve gets a PFAS-free grease barrier and usually a heavier caliper, because a loaded cone of fried potato needs the extra rigidity.

Kraft suits either version and hides the marks.

One-colour flexo on kraft or white is what most parlours choose, because the sleeve is a service item bought by the thousand. Full CMYK is available where the sleeve is doing real branding work for a venue, and the newsprint effect suits chip cones. All of it goes down in grease-tolerant ink that holds up against melt and oil.

Short seasonal runs are practical too, so a summer or event design does not have to sit in stock all year.

Our standard range covers 6 to 8 inch cones, which takes in most service sizes. The sleeve is a flat die-cut wrap, so the measurements that matter are the cone length, the rim circumference and how far down you want the band to sit. Each cone type needs its own cut.

Give us the cone maker's spec or post us a handful and we will size the wrap from those.

Five hundred sleeves is the starting quantity. One size and one artwork per run, with the unit rate improving above 1,000 and runs available up to 100,000. Because the piece is small and flat, 500 takes up very little counter space when it arrives.

Allow 7 to 10 business days for a standard run, or 5 to 7 business days if you need it rushed. A sample sleeve comes in 5 to 7 business days, and we suggest ordering one to check the grip on your actual cones before committing to the full run.

Whatever the sample costs is deducted from the production invoice.

Not if it is on moisture-resistant board, which is what we specify for ice cream service. Standard uncoated board takes on melt and folds in the customer's hand within a minute or two. The coated stock sheds it long enough to finish the cone.

Kraft board is a practical choice here because the natural brown hides drip marks, and it nests compactly on a busy counter.
