The deep, narrow sides brace the split bun closed so it can't roll or fall open in a walking hand. A flat tray lets a loaded bun tip onto its side, which is a problem when people eat standing up or on the move.

The bracing only works if the holder is snug to your bun. We size the channel to your bun for that reason, instead of using one width for everything.

Loaded dogs need deeper sides than a plain frank, so toppings stay in the channel instead of running over the edge. We cut extra depth for chilli, cheese and heaped onions.

On these builds we also step up to a heavier caliper. The holder is carrying real weight along its full length, and a light board sags in the middle. Tell us your heaviest menu item and we'll spec for that one.

Grease reaches it from two directions, with sausage fat on the inside and bun butter on the outside. Clay-coated board is sealed on both faces, and our PFAS-free barrier holds against fat from either side.

We print with grease-tolerant ink so the logo stays legible where fat touches the board. Kraft is also a sensible call for heavily loaded dogs, since the brown hides condiment marks.

Yes, red check is still the most recognised stand and ballpark look, and we print it on its own or alongside your logo. For simpler branding, one or two flexo colours on kraft or white is the most common order.

Venues and chains with bright artwork go to full CMYK. Unprinted kraft is the cheapest route and suits street food, and on compostable stock we can add a disposal instruction where the board is certified.

The standard holder is 7 × 2.5 × 1.5 in, and the footlong is 12 × 2.5 × 1.5 in. Those two lengths cover most of the trade, but width and depth decide the fit.

A holder that's too wide won't brace the bun at all. If your buns are a bakery-specific size, send one or its measurements and we'll cut the channel to match, since we don't sell a single holder for every bun.

Yes, printed runs start at 500 holders. That's enough for a new cart or a weekend event, and volume pricing kicks in above 1,000 for venues ordering up to 100,000 at a time.

The holders nest into compact stacks, so even a larger order takes little room on a cart or behind a stand.

Plan on 7 to 10 business days of production after the artwork is signed off. Ahead of an opening day or a season start we can rush the run through in 5 to 7 business days.

If you'd like to test the fit on your own buns first, samples take 5 to 7 business days. The sample fee isn't lost, as it comes off the invoice when the production order goes ahead.

Yes, we make them on PLA-lined board for venues that have commercial composting. The PLA layer does the job of the grease barrier and breaks down in an industrial composting stream.

Without that collection in place, clay-coated or kraft board with a PFAS-free barrier is the more practical choice. These are open trays for eating on the spot, and we don't build them for sealed transport.
