Lid diameters are standardised against cup rim sizes, so the two are really one decision. Ordering cups from one specification and lids from another is the most common way operators end up with stock that does not seat properly, which then shows up as lids popping off in delivery bags.

If you already hold lid stock you are happy with, tell us which at quote stage and we will size the cups to fit them. That is almost always cheaper than replacing lids.

Three profiles cover most iced service: flat straw-slot, clear dome for anything sitting above the rim, and strawless sip lids where single-use straws are restricted.

Flat straw-slot lids are right for plain iced drinks — iced americano, iced tea, straightforward cold brew. Cheaper, they stack more compactly, and they take less room in a delivery bag.

Dome lids are needed when the drink is finished with whipped cream, thick foam or a garnish. A flat lid would press straight into it.

The practical trade-off is height. Dome lids raise the packed height of every cup, which matters if you stack orders in delivery bags or carrier trays. If only a few menu items need a dome, most operators carry both rather than domes across the board.
