Custom Iced Coffee Cup Sleeve.

A standard hot sleeve is plain corrugated, so it soaks up condensation, softens and starts to turn on the cup. Hot cups stay dry on the outside, and those sleeves were never built for water.

They're also cut to a different taper, which puts them at the wrong height on a cold cup. Our cold sleeve uses moisture-resistant board with a sealed liner on the cup-facing side, where the wet is worst.

Grip comes from a textured outer face, a matte coating and a fit cut to the cold cup's taper. Rotation is the main way a cold sleeve fails, and it starts once the board goes slick.

Matte stays grippier than gloss when damp. Board also swells slightly when wet, so we cut the fit with that in mind and it tightens a little on the cup instead of loosening.

It's the premium option, and it holds up best where a drink is carried around for a long time. The closed-cell backing doesn't absorb water at all, so the sleeve keeps its shape however much the cup sweats.

Coated E-flute is the more common spec and holds well for the length of a normal drink. Neither is meant as insulation, and while both take the cold edge off the hand, grip is what they're specified for.

Not with our moisture-stable print, where ink and coating are chosen together to stay sharp when wet. Bare flexo on uncoated board is what smears once condensation reaches it.

Kraft with one or two spot colours is the most common order, sealed against moisture. Full CMYK on white gets a protective coating over the artwork, and Pantone matching keeps the colour consistent between reprints.

Our band is 2.5 in tall and fits 16oz to 24oz cold cups. Sleeves are sized by the taper of the cup wall, and cold cups taper differently from hot ones, so the two aren't interchangeable.

Yes, and on a cold sleeve a blind emboss does two jobs at once. The raised logo gives a tactile brand mark with no ink, and its texture adds grip on a wet cup.

It works on kraft and on white board, and it can sit alongside a printed spot colour. We'd pair it with a matte coating, which is the grippier finish once condensation builds up.
