Necklace Boxes.

The clasp is caught on a small hook at the top of a padded card, and the chain hangs down from it with the pendant centred below. Holding the clasp end fixes the whole necklace, so it can't slide into a knot when the parcel is turned over.

For long or very fine chains, a flocked wrap card is the alternative. The chain winds around it and tucks under a tab. We check both with a shake test before production, holding the box upside down and then opening it.

A necklace is shown laid out across a pad, so the box has to be wide enough for the drape and only deep enough for the pendant. A shallow box also feels slimmer and more refined in the hand.

The pendant gets its own recessed bay in the pad so it doesn't sit on the chain or rub against the lid. Depth is set by that bay and the thickest part of the pendant.

Yes, we make multi-hook cards that hold each chain at its own length, so the set is shown the way it's worn. Each clasp gets its own hook, which stops the chains crossing over one another in transit.

Layered sets usually go in our larger 8 × 8 in format. Presenting them together sells the look as a group, which is the reason most brands sell layered chains as a set in the first place.

Most are 2mm rigid board wrapped in soft-touch, suede or art paper, with a foil logo on the lid. Inside, the pad is velvet or satin, and the inner lid can carry a CMYK print if you want a note or pattern there.

Embossing, a ribbon pull and a magnetic closure are all available. Window lids aren't offered on this style, so the pendant is seen for the first time when the box opens.

Our two standard sizes are 7 × 5 × 1.2 in for a chain with a pendant and 8 × 8 × 1.5 in for statement pieces and layered sets. Width decides how the chain drapes, and depth is set by the pendant.

To size a custom box, lay the necklace out in the curve you want customers to see, measure across it and add a margin on each side. Measure the pendant at its thickest point for the depth.

The box is for presentation and storage, and the pouch is for carrying the necklace when the owner travels. Supplying both means the piece is protected wherever it ends up.

For online orders, the hook card does the real work. A clasp that is properly caught holds up to courier handling, where a chain simply laid on a pad tends to end up in a heap at the bottom of the box.

There is, and it's 500 boxes per order. Most brands put that into one size first, usually the 7 × 5 in chain box, and add the larger statement box later.

The same outer wrap and logo can carry across both sizes, so a second order looks like part of the same range. We quote runs up to 100,000.
