We run this format on heavy clay-coated board at a higher caliper than a plain boat, with deeper walls to hold toppings in. We do not offer nacho boats on standard boat board or in shallow profiles.

The extra weight of board still nests for storage, so counter space is unaffected.

An upgraded PFAS-free barrier specified against pooled hot cheese sauce rather than general grease. Sauce lands at around 60 to 70°C with a high fat content and concentrates in one spot, which is a harder attack than fryer oil spread across the board. The coating here is mandatory rather than a tier you can skip.

Kraft stock hides the sauce staining better than white if appearance after service matters.

Yes, and it is the option we recommend. A separate sauce well means the chips never sit in the cheese, so they stay crisp until the customer dips them. It also keeps the concentrated fat away from the chip side of the tray.

The two-compartment form still nests in a stack, so it costs nothing in storage over a single-well boat.

Bold full CMYK artwork reads across a busy stadium or cinema counter and is the most popular choice. White clay-coated board gives the cleanest base for bright print, though it shows sauce marks, while kraft hides staining. Flexo in one or two colours keeps the cost down for a logo, and unprinted is available for plain venue stock.

Every ink is grease-tolerant so the artwork stays legible against hot fatty sauce.

Two numbered sizes: the #40 at 7 by 5 by 1.5 inches and the #100 at 8 by 6 by 2 inches. Both are deeper than a plain boat of the same number, since depth is what stops a loaded portion spilling. Measure your chip portion loaded with toppings rather than dry when choosing between them.

Custom die-cut sizes are available for a venue with a fixed portion scoop.

PLA-lined board is available as a compostable option, with one caveat on heat. Confirm the lining's heat tolerance against your sauce holding temperature before specifying it, since pooled cheese sauce runs hotter than most compostable barriers see in other formats. Where the stock is certified, we add the disposal mark.

The standard heavy clay-coated grade is PFAS-free and the safer choice at the hottest sauce temperatures.
