Pizza Boxes.

Vents let steam out so the crust does not soften under its own moisture. A hot pizza in a closed box releases water vapour for the whole delivery, and without an escape route it condenses on the lid and drips back onto the crust. Perforated vents in the lid or side walls release it while keeping most of the heat in.

We cut the vents into the die rather than punching them afterwards, so the pattern is consistent across the run and the box still stacks square.

B-flute is the delivery default and E-flute is the choice where print quality leads. B-flute runs around 3 mm thick, which gives the best insulation and stacking strength for a 16-inch box carried in a delivery bag with others on top. E-flute is around 1.5 mm and shows far less flute through the print, so artwork comes out sharper.

A large deep-pan box on E-flute can sag under the pie, so for anything over 14 inches we usually steer towards B-flute.

Locking tabs at the corners hold the lid and walls square without glue or tape. The tabs fold into slots on the side walls as the box is erected, which stops the lid springing open in a delivery bag and keeps the corner posts upright so the lid does not rest on the topping. A fully sealed lid is not something we offer, since the box needs to vent.

Erecting takes a few seconds at the counter and the blanks ship flat.

Flexo on kraft is the standard, and litho-lamination is the route to photographic print. One to three flexo colours print bold logos and text well directly on the corrugated, but fine detail and photographs break up on the flute. Litho-lamination glues a full-colour printed sheet to the corrugated base and costs a real step more.

Inside-lid print is cheap and nearly always left blank. Every customer sees the underside of the lid when they open the box.

Standard squares run from 8 to 18 inches in 2-inch steps, with 10, 12, 14 and 16 the most ordered. The box is measured to the pizza plus a small clearance, and the standard depth is around 1.75 inches. Deep-pan and stuffed-crust styles need a taller wall so the lid clears the topping.

Half-pizza and single-slice formats are available from the same board and print setup.

A custom run starts at 500 boxes. Above 1,000 the unit price tiers down, and most delivery operations order in the thousands because the box is a consumable that goes out with every sale. The maximum we schedule in one production order is 100,000.

Mixed sizes can sit in one order, and each size is priced on its own board usage.

Printed boxes ship in 7 to 10 business days from approved artwork. Flexo plates are made in that window, so a repeat order with plates already on file can move faster. The rush option runs 5 to 7 business days when a launch date cannot slip.

Samples are ready in 5 to 7 business days. The sample charge is deducted when the bulk order is placed, so trying the box in your ovens and delivery bags costs nothing in the end.

Yes, the grease-resistant inner liner is specified without fluorochemicals. Several states now restrict PFAS coatings in food packaging, so a PFAS-free barrier is the only version we run. The food-contact liner is 125 to 150 gsm food-grade paper that stops oil turning the base translucent on the ride home.

Without the fluorochemical layer the box stays a plain paper product for recycling, and post-consumer fibre is used in the board where the specification allows it.
