Description
Overview

Disposable Sushi Serving Trays

A base built to be seen through a lid — colour and finish are part of the plating.

The tray is the plate, so its colour sits behind the food in every photograph and every display case. Black is the category default for exactly that reason.

What We Make

The full kit of capabilities.

Load-Rated Construction
Board and rim specified against the weight the platter actually carries.
Reinforced Rims
Stops flexing when the tray is lifted by two edges.
Moulded Fibre Option
Stiffness from formed geometry rather than sheer thickness.
Dark Matte Surfaces
Contrast for the food without reflective glare.
Compartmented Layouts
Keeps sauces and wet garnishes away from rice on mixed platters.
Film or Rigid Lids
Display sealing or transport closure depending on how it is served.
Sharing and Event Sizes
From small platters to large catering formats.
Printed Rim Bands
Branding that does not compete with the food.
Light Board at Platter Size
It folds in the middle when carried by the edges and the food slides into the crease. We will specify up rather than take the order.
Stacking Film-Sealed Trays
Film carries no load. If platters must stack, they need rigid lids.

Measure Twice

Sizing & dieline.

Every Disposable Sushi Serving Trays is cut to a dieline built around your product — not pulled off a shelf. Send us the length, width and height of the item (or the item itself) and we return a measured dieline, free, before you commit to anything.

How to measure
01
Measure the product

Length, width and height of the item itself, at its widest points — not the box you happen to use today.

02
Add clearance

Allow 2–4 mm on each axis for a snug fit, and more if you are adding foam, a pillow insert or tissue.

03
Give us the order

We quote as Length × Width × Height. Tell us whether you are working in millimetres or inches and we match it.

What It Costs

What moves the price
Quantity

The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.

Material and thickness

Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.

Finishing

Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.

Print coverage

Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.

Inserts and hardware

Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.

Timeline

Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

— Frequently Asked Questions —

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about Disposable Sushi Serving Trays.

Work from piece count and how it is served, not from a tray dimension.

A platter for a meeting room of eight is a different object from a two-person sharing tray, and the important consequence is structural rather than dimensional: as the tray gets larger, the bending force at the centre grows faster than the area does. A large platter needs meaningfully heavier board, a reinforced rim, or a moulded fibre construction.

Tell us the number of pieces, whether there are compartments for garnish and sauce, and whether it travels or is served where it is made. We will size it and specify the board against the loaded weight rather than the empty one.

Contrast, and it is a genuine commercial decision rather than a style preference.

Sushi is small, detailed and colourful. Against a dark surface the colours separate and the pieces read as distinct and deliberate. Against white they flatten out and the presentation looks institutional — the same food can look like a premium platter or like canteen catering depending almost entirely on what it is sitting on.

We would generally recommend matte rather than gloss black. A gloss surface throws reflections under overhead lighting, which competes with the food and shows every fingerprint on the tray.

Kraft is the reasonable alternative where the brand is casual and natural rather than premium.
