Tea Packaging
Aroma is the product — so the barrier matters more than anything printed on it.
Tea loses its volatiles to a poor barrier and picks up odours from a bad one. Cartons, tins and pouches all work; what separates them is how well they hold aroma in.

Every detail. Intentional.
Aroma is the product
And a poor barrier loses it.
Odour travels both ways
Tea absorbs as readily as it releases.
Carton, tin or pouch
Each carries a different barrier tier.
A liner where leaf touches
Where leaf sits against the wall.
Resealable for daily use
Opened across weeks.
A century of visual convention
The category's inherited visual language.
Built like architecture.
Each Custom Tea Packaging is an engineered object — measured, dieline-cut, and hand-wrapped to spec. Below: the standard build sheet.

Sizing & dieline.
Every Custom Tea Packaging is made to your fill, not pulled off a shelf. A pouch is quoted width × length, plus the gusset that lets it stand — tell us what goes inside and how much of it, and we return a measured spec, free, before you commit to anything.
A pouch is sized by what goes in it, not by outside dimensions. Give us the fill weight and, if you can, the bulk — 500 g of granola needs far more bag than 500 g of powder.
We quote width × length, then the bottom gusset depth that sets the footprint. Three figures, and the gusset is the one most often left off.
Zipper or heat seal only, valve or no valve, window or full barrier. These change the film and the bag height, so they belong in the spec rather than added afterwards.
✦ Not sure of your size? Send us the product — we measure it and build the dieline.
Pricing & minimums.
Custom Tea Packaging is priced per specification rather than from a fixed list — the same box in two different finishes can land at very different numbers. Below is what actually moves the price, so you can shape the spec before you request a quote.
The single biggest lever. Unit cost falls sharply as volume rises, because setup and tooling spread across more pieces.
Board weight and stock choice change both the raw material cost and the shipping weight of the finished run.
Foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch each add a pass on press. One or two lift the box; five compound the cost.
Full-bleed print inside and out costs more than a one-sided design on natural stock.
Foam, moulded pulp, velvet pillows, magnets and ribbon are priced per piece on top of the box itself.
Standard production is the base rate. Rush moves you up the production queue and carries a surcharge.

What brands say.
“The best packaging partner we've ever worked with. Every box feels like an event.”
“Our unboxing experience went from forgettable to remarkable. The magnetic close is chef's kiss.”
“Fast turnaround, flawless quality, and the design support is genuinely exceptional.”
Questions, answered.
Everything you need to know about Custom Tea Packaging.
Because the barrier has to work in both directions.
Most dry goods only need aroma and freshness kept in. Tea has a second problem: dry leaf is porous and readily absorbs odours from its surroundings. Stored near spices, cleaning products or in a strongly scented warehouse, tea will take on those smells — and then taste of them.
So a film that would be adequate for, say, dried pasta or rice is not adequate for tea. Foil is the reliable answer; metallised film is marginal for anything with a real shelf life.
Light is the second issue, and it hits green and white teas hardest because the delicate compounds that make them worth buying are exactly the ones that degrade. Black tea is considerably more forgiving, so if you want a window anywhere in the range, that is where to put it.
